At Buddy Brewing, we’re not asking you to choose between your family, your mates, or your local community. Why should you have to? This brewery was built on all three.

We’re a family-run business through and through. Reece is the man behind the brews, Michelle keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, and Divaan brings the heart — always keeping our focus on the community around us. Even our name is a nod to where we come from. Reece’s grandad (Michelle’s dad) used to jab him in the chest with his four-fingered hand and say, “Listen here, buddy…” That memory stuck — and if you look closely at our labels, you’ll spot a hand with one finger missing. It’s our little tribute to Pop.

But Buddy Brewing has always been about more than just family. Friendship helped us build this place — literally. Mates in the construction game helped us fit out the space. Local friends (including a very helpful councillor) supported us through the approval process. And without the guidance and encouragement of friends in the beer industry, we wouldn’t be here at all. That’s why we’ve got a tap permanently pouring beer from another independent brewery — we call it our “Buddy Tap.”

We’re not trying to create some exclusive club. Walk in for the first time and you’re still our buddy. Whether you’re keen to chat about beer, gin, rugby league, or music trivia — pull up a chair. We’ve got a seat for you.

We’re especially proud to be part of the Burpengary and Moreton Bay community. This is our backyard, and through Buddy Brewing we’ve built connections with legends up and down the coast — from craft beer bars and beachy hotels to sports clubs and city cocktail lounges.

We keep things as local as we can — from the jerky on the bar, to the gins behind it, to the food trucks parked out front. You’ll see local musos on our stage, local footy clubs on our taps, and local love in every pour. We even brewed a custom lager for our local rugby league team. If there’s something we can do to support someone nearby — we’re in. That’s just how we do things.

We brew beers we love to drink — and we think you will too. Reece brings a science background to the brewing process, so everything’s clean, balanced, and well-made — but not always textbook. We don’t worry too much about fitting into strict beer categories. Instead, we chase flavour. Expect hoppy beers with a malty twist, Euro and English styles with a modern edge, and hybrid brews that bend the rules in all the right ways.

Of course, it’s not just about the beer. We’ve created a space where good drinks meet good times. That means comfy couches, a leafy beer garden, free arcade games, live music three days a week, a massive TV for the big games, and tables made for making memories — with old friends or new ones.

We could’ve built a big venue, filled it with pokies, and gone for volume. But that’s not what we’re about. We wanted something small, warm, and full of soul. A place where you feel welcome the moment you walk in. Where the atmosphere feels just as good as the beer tastes.

So grab a seat in the sun, or chill inside under the aircon. Order a paddle and find your new favourite. Get some loaded fries and a gourmet hotdog delivered straight to your table by Dawg Boys. Have a yarn with Reece about brewing, Michelle about her gin collection, or Divaan about the distilling journey he’s just started. Try to spot the movie references hidden in every label. Grab a four-pack on your way out.
